Who we are

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Switzerland and Liechtenstein was founded in the summer of 2003. We are a dedicated team of staff and volunteers committed to making a real difference in the lives of the children for whom we grant wishes.

THE TEAM AND BOARD



Fiona Morrison – CEO

In 1996, Alexander, the son of Fiona’s best friend, was diagnosed with leukaemia. Make-A-Wish granted his dream to go to Disneyland. Fiona never forgot the joy and tremendously beneficial impact this wish had on Alexander's fight to beat his illness - which he did! The power of this wish also gave the family respite and laughter. Fiona promised herself that the day Make-A-Wish came to Switzerland she would be a part of it.

With a degree in anthropology and economics, Fiona's career in finance and marketing, in both the private and public sector, allows her to bring a wealth of experience and dedication to ensuring we are able to increasingly grant the cherished wishes of children living with a life-threatening illness.

Catrin Capell – Wish Granting Coordinator

Catrin has a university degree in social work and draws upon long experience in counselling people during the difficult moments in their lives. At Make-A-Wish, she puts into practice her experience to contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of others. Catrin’s tasks include the coordination, planning and granting of our magical wishes.

Sandrine Maurice - Fund Development

Sandrine graduated from the EFAP (French school of communication) and worked for an advertising agency. During her time there she worked on the team developing Make-A-Wish's national advertising campaign. Touched by the mission of the foundation and how it brings joy and magic she joined the team as a fundraiser.
